- Attorney, OELD
Dear ter. Dolan:
W. Pasedag By your letter dated tlarch 24, 1980, Indiana and Michigan lectrtc Company requested permission to use divers in lieu of the more time consuming remote operators otherwise necessary to remove anchor bolts in the spent fuel pool modification for the Donald C. Cook Unit Nos.
1 and 2.
We have reviewed the anticipated doses using both methods and agree that the use o$ divers for this operation'is in the interest of limiting doses to as-low-as-reasonably-achievable.
A'Ithough our original evaluation considered neither the use of divers nor remote boltcutting, we have reviewed the proposed action as it affects our October 16, 1979 Safety Evaluation Report on the D. C. Cook
-spent fuel pool modifications and we find that there is no significant increase in the doses and therefor e no change in our previous. con-clusions as stated in that report.
