MONTHLY OPERATING ACTIVITIES - APRIL 1989 The unit entered the reporting period with the reactor coolant system in Mode 6 and preparations underway to off-load the core.
On 4-9-89 the fuel had been removed from the reactor vessel and placed in the spent fuel pit in preparation for maintenance on the reactor coolant pumps and other maintenance requiring reduced inventory in the RCS.
The reporting period ended with preparations underway to refill the RCS and reload the core.
