Dear Mr. Davis:
On May 1,
- 1989, The Donald C.
Cook Nuclear Plant submitted a Special
- Report, per Technical Specification 3.3.3.3 action b, regarding a
Seismic Monitoring Instrument (Free Field Seismic Trigger) that was inoperable for longer than 30 days.
In the report, we stated that it was anticipated that a new trigger would arrive and be installed by July 31, 1989.
This letter is to inform you that we were able to obtain a new seismic trigger sooner than expected and that it was installed on May 23, 1989 and declared operable on May 26, 1989.
