CS JUN 1~85 During our meetings with you and your staff on May 23, 1986, I indicated to you that NRR was interested in your on-going Technical Specification Upgrade Program and that we are committed to supporting industry efforts to improve regulatory and related processes.
Since our meeting, we have discussed your program and have developed for further discussion, additional proposed program elements related to your Technical Specification Upgrade Program.
The attached working outline represents the combination of the on-going and proposed elements and we believe it would be to our mutual advantage to meet with you and discuss these program elements and their goals.
The purpose of the meeting would be to explore the benefits and resource needs and to assure an initial understanding by all the parties of such a program.
If such a meeting is acceptable to you, I have asked Dave Wigginton to work with your staff in making the arrangements.
I look forward to meeting with you on this subject since we feel that definite improvements can be made to safety and operation.
