Thank you for your letter dated November ll, 1985, informing us of the steps you have taken to correct the noncompliance which we brought to your attention in our letter dated October 17, 1985.
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission recognizes the fact that your company has taken some corrective action regarding Examples 1, 2, and 3 of this violation. It is important to note that our primary concern in this matter is a lack of promptness in resolving these issues.
Examples of activities stretching over periods of years are delineated in your response.
We believe it is appropriate for you to proceed much more expeditiously in final resolution of these matters.
It is our intention while performing future inspections to monitor your timeliness in resolving these activities and other activities related to corrective action.
Your exception to the first three examples is noted; however, the violation with the four examples stands as originally stated in my letter of October 17, 1985.
