Dear Mr. Smith:

This is in response to your letter of July 30, 1985 (AEP:NRC:0935B) informing us of your intent to rescind a commitment originated with LER 316/82-016; you no longer intend to initiate a Condition Report each time a piece of Technical Specifications related equipment is out of service.

Based on your intention to continue using other means (such as Shift Logs, Job Orders, etc.) to monitor, verify and document that Technical Specification Action Statements are met, we find your proposed change in your administrative practices acceptable.

We will continue to monitor your performance in this area.
