Dear Mr. Denton:
This letter responds to your staff's December 24, 1984 request for additional information concerning the D. C.
Cook Safety Parameter Display System (SPDS).
As we recently informed your staff, much of the requested information requires input from Westinghouse Electric Co., from whom we purchased our SPDS.
Westinghouse has advised us that they wish to address the issues with a D. C.
Cook Plant Specific topical report.
Westinghouse is scheduled to complete and deliver this report to us by early March.
Once we receive the information from Westinghouse, it will take us 2-3 weeks to review and process the information for submittal to you.
Regarding your request for information concerning the schedule for full implementation of the
- SPDS, we would appreciate deferring the schedule until all studies and evaluations have been completed.
In our letter AEP:NRC:0773D, dated January 30,
- 1984, we committed to submit a status report on the SPDS in April, 1985.
The schedule for full implementation of the SPDS will be a part of that. report.
This document has been prepared following Corporate procedures which incorporate a reasonable set of controls to insure its accuracy and completeness prior to signature by the undersigned.
