Dear Mr. Denton:
This letter responds to Mr. W. 0. Miller's letters of February 9, 1983 and March 8, 1983 concerning the payment of additional fees for NRC processing of various proposed license amendments associated with the Cycle 4 reload for Unit 2.
We agree with the conclusion in Mr. Miller's March 8, 1983, letter to the extent that the overpayment of $4,400 should be applied to our April 7, 1982 application request which involved increasing the enrichment level of fuel permitted to be stored in the new and spent fuel storage racks.
As to your request to remit another check for $4,400 due on our September 29, 1982 application, please be advised that our position with regard to this payment fee is contained in our AEP:NRC:0631B letter dated February 25, 1983.
Notwithstanding that letter, which is attached hereto for completeness, we are enclosing a check in the amount of $4,400.
Should your review of our AEP:NRC:0631B letter result in a modification of your position, you can refund us the fee as appropriate.
