For your application dated March 27, 1979 (AEP:NRC:00055). fees totalling
$8,800 weve paid pursuant to 10 CFR 170.22.
This application proposed changes to the Appendix A and to the Appendix B Technical Specifications (TS) fov Donald C. Cook Unit Nos.
1 and 2. It is our understanding that the Appendix A portion of this application was superseded by your submittal dated September 17, 1982 (AEP:NRC:00055F),
and that the Appendix B portion was followed by an application dated November 4, 1981 (AEP:NRC:00055C).
With the November 4 application, fees totalling $4,400 (Classes III and I) were received.
On February 7, 1983, the staff of the Division of Licensing (DL) completed their review of your Appendix A TS changes and issued Amend-ment Nos.
69 and 51 to Licenses DPR-58 and -74, respectively.
The Appendix B portions were approved by amendments issued on May 6 and October 22, 1982.
Based on information provided by the DL staff as a result of their final reviews, it has been determined that fees totalling $8,800 (Classes III and I) are appropriate for the Appendix A TS changes and those portions of the Appendix B TS relating to deletion of the non-water related requirements on erosion and scour studies (Sections 4.1.1.3 and 4.1.1.4).
Since a total of $13,200 has been paid for the Appendices A and B changes, a refund of
$4,400 is due your Company.
Fees are not being assessed for those Appendix B changes relating to deletion of non-radiological water quality requirements.
Ouv letters dated February 3 and 9. 1983. to you each vequested a sum of
$4,400 for applications dated September 29, 1982 and April 7, 1982, respectively.
Since
$8,800 is due the NRC, we are applying the $4,400 refund referred to above to the April 7, 1982 application and request that your Company remit the $4,400 still due for your September 29 ap-plication.
We hope that this is acceptable to you.
