By an application dated April 7, 1982. your Company requested that the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation (ONRR) review Technical Specification changes for the following items relating to the Donald C. Cook Nuclear Plant:
a.
Spent fuel pool TS.changes to increase the fuel enrichment level of fuel permitted to be stored in the new and spent fuel racks to accommodate the Exxon Nuclear Company designed fuel to be used for Reload 4 for Unit No. 2, and b.
Cycle 4 Reload for Unit No. 2 with a power increase.
On September 2, 1982, the ONRR staff approved item "a" above by the issuance of -Amendment Nos.
57 and 4'l to the Cook 1 and 2 licenses.
On January 14,
'l983, Amendment No. 48 was issued for Cook Unit No. 2'hich approved the above item "b".
Based on data provided by the ONRR staff, it has been deter-mined that item "a!'nvolved a separate single safety issue and duplicate unit which requires C'lasses III and I fees totaling $4,400, and that the Class IY fee of $12,300 which your.Company paid is appropriate for, item "b" which involved consideration of a complex issue.
Therefore. it is requested that your Company remit a sum of $4,400 to this office to complete the fees for your April 7, 1982 application.
For your information, the fact that the application lias approved by more than one license amendment issued at dif-ferent times has no bearing on the fee determination.
