In your letters AEP:NRC:0670A dated July 2, 1982, and AEP:NRC:0670B dated August 20, 1982, you advised NRR of work that you are doing on fire protection for the D. C. Cook Nuclear Plant, Units 1 and 2 as a result of discussions with Region III staff during the Appendix R Team inspection of Cook plant on April 12-16, 1982.

Since Region III is responsible for the review items brought up by the Appendix R Team inspection, letters addressing these matters should be sent to Mr. J.

G. Keppler, Administrator of the Region III office rather than Mr. Harold R. Denton, l<e have forwarded copies of the above letters to Region III and request that they be submitted directly to Mr. Keppler in the future.
