Heltemes By letter dated February 1, 1982, the Indiana and Michigan Electric Company requested NRC authorization to use ASME Code Case N-307 regarding the revised ultrasonic examination volume for Class I bolting, examination category B-G-1, AStlE Code Section XI for the D. C. Cook Nuclear Plant Unit Nos.
1 and 2.
We have reviewed the Code Case and find that the volume requested to be examined will most likely contain any flaws generated in the bolts.
We, therefore, approve the Code Case for use at the D. C.
Cook Nuclear Plant Unit Nos.
1 and 2.
This letter authorization should be included with your Inservice Inspection Program for these units.
