JHeltemes We have completed our review of your AEP:NRC:0642 December 7, 1981, clarification of your previous submfttals on the Donald C.
Cook Nuclear Plant Units 1 and 2 Radiation monitoring system.
You stated that "the three containment radiatfon monitoring channels R-2, R-ll and R-12 auto-matically initiated closure of all 14 containment purge supply and exhaust isolation valves."
We conclude that this information combined with our safety evaluation report enclosed with my letter of October 30, 1981, is acceptable for completion of action on Item II.E.4.2 Position 7 (purge and vent valves closing on high radiation fn primary containment).
We are still expecting your request for changes to the technical specifi-cations related to this action.
