1981, of the activities at Donald C.
Cook Nuclear Plant, Units
1 and 2,
authorized
by NRC Operating I,icenses
No. DPR-58
and No. DPR-74 and to
the discussion of our findings with Mr. D. Shaller at the conclusion of
the inspections.
In accordance
with 10 CFR 2.790(a),
a copy of this letter and the enclosure
will be placed in the
NRC Public Document
Room unless
you notify this office,
by telephone,
within ten days of the date of this letter and submit written
application to withhold information contained therein within thirty days of
the date of this letter.
Such application must be consistent with the re-
quirements of 2.790(b)(1).
The enclosed
two reports provide the basis for escalated
enforcement action
which is forthcoming and has been forwarded to you under
a seperate letter
by our Headquarters
staff.
This letter will set forth certain matters of
concern
and the items of noncompliance
found during these inspections.
Your response
to the items should be made directly to our Headquarters,
Office of Inspection
and Enforcement.
