A~nndix A NOTICE OF VIOLATION American Electric Power Service Corporation Indiana and Michigan Power Company Docket No. 50-315 Docket No. 50-316 Based on the inspection conducted on February 29, 1980, it appears that certain of your activities were in noncompliance with NRC requirements, as noted below.
This item is a deficiency.
As required by 10 CFR 71.5, shipments of licensed radioactive material must comply with the requirements of the Department of Transportation, 49 CFR 170-189, which requires placarding of each end and side of ex-clusive use vehicles transporting LSA material.
(Paragraphs 49 CFR 172 '04, 172.506, and 173.392(c)(7)).
Contrary to the above, on February 29, 1980, three exclusive use trucks carrying large boxes of LSA material from the D.
C. Dook site to the Nuclear Engineering Company, Beatty,
- Nevada, were found upon arrival to be missing the front placard.
