50-316 INDIANA AND MICHIGAN ELECTRIC COMPANY NOTICE OF ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENT TO FACILITY RATING LIC NSE The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Corrmission (the Commission) has issued Amendment No.

21 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-74, issued to Indiana and Michigan Electric Company (the licensee),

which revised Technical Specifications for operation of Donald C.

Cook Nuclear Plant, Unit Ho.

2 (the facility) located in Berrien County, Michigan.

This amendment is effective as of the date of issuance.

This amendment provides for a revision to Unit No.

2 Technical Specifications to separate the limiting conditions for operation and surveillance requirements for Unit Ho.

2 motor driven auxiliary feedwater pumps from those in Unit No. l.

The application for this amendment complies with the standards and requirements of the Atomic Energy Act of 19'4, as amended (the Act), and the Coomission's rules and regulations.

The Commission has made appropriate findings as required by the Act and the Coomission's rules and regulations in 10 CFR Chapter I, which are set forth in the license amendment.

Prior public notice of this amendment was not required since the amendment does not involve a significant hazards consideration.

7590-01 The Coomission has determined that the issuance of this amendment wi 11 not result in any significant environmental impact and that pursuant to 10 CFR $51.5(d)(4) an environmental impact statement or negative declaration and environmental impact appraisal need not be prepared in connection with issuance of this amendment.
