Dear Mr. Denton:
This letter and its attachments respond to your letter of January 2,
1980 wherein the Commission issued a show cause order for the Donald C.
Cook Nuclear Plant concerning the implementation of the "Category A" requirements of NUREG-0578.
This letter also supplements our letters of October 24,1979 (AEP:NRC:00253),
November 26,- 1979 (AEP:NRC:00253A),
December 19, 1979 (AEP:NRC:002538),
December 26, 1979 (AEP:NRC:00253C),
and January 15, 1980 (AEP:NRC:00253D).
Attachments 1 through 5 are those five letters noted above and which have been previously sent to the Commission showing our degree of compliance with the "Category A" requirements.
Attachments 6 and 7 provide additional information and clarification showing full compliance with the "Category A" requirements.
The list of Category A requirements provided below, shows compliance with the January 31, 1980 date given in your letter of January 2, 1980.
