NRC INSPECTION REPORT 50-528/99-01; 50-529/99-01; 50-530/99-01
Dear Mr. Levine:
This refers to the inspection conducted on March 8-11, 1999, at the Palo Verde Nuclear
Generating Station, Units 1, 2, and 3, reactor facilities. The enclosed report presents the scope
and results of that inspection.
The inspection included implementation of your emergency plan and procedures during your
biennial emergency preparedness
exercise.
Overall, the performance during the biennial
exercise was good; however, one exercise weakness was identified in the technical support
center for failure to establish and communicate facilitypriorities.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter and its
enclosure willbe placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
