Arizona Public Service Company (APS), through active involvement with the Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) and the Combustion Engineering Owner's Group (GEOG), is working to develop an integrated industry response to the information requested in your letter to APS, dated September 4, 1998, regarding Generic Letter 97%1. Due to ongoing industry efforts to develop a pertinent and complete response to the requested information, APS will provide the requested information by January 15, 1999. This extension will allow APS to incorporate the integrated industry response into the Palo Verde - specific response to the requested information.
