Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station Unit 2 Steam Generator Tube Plugging Docket No. STN 60-629 License No. NPF-61 Special Report No. 2-SR-97-001 This Special Report is being provided pursuant to Palo Verde Unit 2 Technical Specifications (TS) Surveillance Requirement 4.4.4.5.a and TS 6.9.2 to report the number of steam generator tubes plugged as a result of inservice inspection activities.
On October 1, 1997, Unit 2 was defueled during a refueling outage when an inservice inspection of both steam generators was completed.
The inspection resulted in the plugging of 116 tubes in Steam Generator No. 1 and 142 tubes in Steam Generator No. 2.
Pursuant to Technical Specification 4.4.4.5.b, the complete results of the steam generator tube inservice inspection will be submitted by October 1, 1998.
