Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station (PVNGS)

Units 1, 2, and 3 Docket Nos. STN 60-628/629/630 Ampacity Calculations Update Arizona Public Service Company letter 102-03854-WEI/SAB/NLT, dated January 24, 1997, stated that APS anticipated the ampacity evaluation performed for Unit 1 would bound Units 2 and 3 and that APS would verify the applicability of the Unit 1 ampacity evaluation to Units 2 and 3 by the end of the second quarter of 1997.

Due to differences in configuration between the units, APS Design Engineering has determined that the Unit 1 evaluation will not bound Units 2 and 3.

Therefore, APS will complete unit-specific ampacity evaluations for Thermo-Lag 330-1 enclosed raceways for Units 2 and 3. These evaluations are scheduled to be completed by December 31, 1997.
