Dear Mr. Levine:
We have reviewed your letter dated February 20, 1997, and the enclosed objectives for the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station emergency plan exercise scheduled for May 21, 1997.
Based on our review, we determined that the exercise objectives are appropriate to meet emergency plan requirements.
Minor questions were resolved during a March 13, 1997, telephone discussion with Messrs. Tom Barsuk and Gary Cerkas of your staff.
We contacted the Federal Emergency Management Agency, Region IX, during our review. Mr.
Richard Echavarria had no comments for us to relay to you.
