Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station (PVNGS)
Units 1, 2, and 3 Docket No. STN 50-528/529/530 Improved Standard Technical Specifications The referenced letter transmitted the License Amendment Request for the PVNGS conversion to the Improved Standard Technical Specifications (ITS) and included a
commitment to provide a scheduled date for ITS implementation.
Subsequent to the ITS submittal, PVNGS has performed a sitewide impact review and developed an ITS implementation plan.
The implementation plan is based upon several factors which include, but are not limited to:

NRC approval of the ITS prior to August 15, 1997
~
Completion of the ITS procedure changes prior to ITS implementation
~
Completion of the ITS programs prior to ITS implementation
~
Training of site personnel prior to ITS implementation
~
Implementation between refueling outages, when all three PVNGS units are operating The ITS implementation window for PVNGS based upon the above factors is July 1, 1998 to September 15, 1998.
