REVISION 15.

We have received your submission of Revision 15 to the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station Emergency Plan Implementing Procedure (EPIP-02),

titled:'mergency Classification, dated May 17.

1996.

This revision was submitted pursuant to 10 CFR 50.54(q) and 10 CFR 50.4:

and incorporated the following changes:

(1) revised the security emergency action level for declaration of an unusual event.

and (2) updated references in the plan.

This also refers to telephonic discussion of the changes between A. McQueen ot Region IV and T. Barsuk of your staff on July 9, 1996.

We have reviewed Revision 15 and determined that the changes are acceptable and do not appear to degrade the effectiveness of your emergency planning at the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station.
