Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station (PVNGS)
Units 1,2, and 3 Docket Nos. STN 50-528/629/630 Present Levels of Financial Protection Pursuant to 10 CFR 50.54(w)(3), the present levels and sources of property insurance maintained for PVNGS are reported as follows:
Primary nuclear property insurance coverage with a limit of $500 million through Nuclear Mutual Limited (NML) effective March 1, 1995.
Excess nuclear property insurance coverage (First Layer) with a limit of $1.4 billion, excess of $500 million,through Nuclear Electric Insurance Limited (NEIL II) effective November 15, 1994 ($250 million of this layer sub-limited as premature decommissioning coverage).

Excess nuclear property insurance coverage with a limit of $850 million, excess of $ 1.9 billion, through Nuclear Electric Insurance Limited (NEIL III) effective January 1, 1995.

Excess nuclear property insurance coverage with a limit of $25 million, excess of
$2.75 billion, through American Nuclear Insurers/Mutual Atomic Energy Liability Underwriters (ANI/MAELU)effective January 1, 1995.
The total nuclear property insurance coverage in force for PVNGS is $2.525 billion. The total available for stabilization and decontamination is $2.775 billion.
