Temporary Relocation of the Technical Support Center File: 94402-493 As discussed with Blaine
- Murray, NRC Region IV, on 11/30/94, effective December 2, 1994, PVNGS Technical Support Center (TSC) willbe undergoing Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) modifications making it unavailable as an emergency response facility.
During these modifications which are scheduled to be complete within 4 to 6 weeks, TSC emergency response personnel (including NRC personnel who report to the TSC) willreport to the Emergency Operations Facility (EOF) in the event of an emergency.
The only exception is the NRC Liaison, Operations, who will report to the affected Unit Satellite Technical Support Center (STSC).
PVNGS has modified the EOF to support TSC response personnel.
TSC position manuals willbe relocated to the EOF. Emergency Response Facility Data Acquisition and Display System (ERFDADS) terminals willbe added and additional telephones have been installed.
Emergency Plan Implementing Procedure 11 (EPIP-11),
"Technical Support Center/Satellite Technical Support Center Activation,"willbe revised to reflect the alternate location, and temporary TSC emergency telephone listings will be provided to all emergency facilities.
TSC response personnel will be briefed and all affected emergency response personnel will be advised prior to the implementation on the changes.
The changes have been reviewed, and PVNGS is confident that there is no reduction in the level of emergency response capabilities.
