r PALO VERDE NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION UNIT 2 STEAM GENERATOR TUBE PLUGGING License No. NPF-51 Docket No. 50-529 This report is being provided to report the number of steam generator tubes plugged during the Unit 2 Midcycle outage.

On October 6, 1994, Unit 2 was in Mode 5 (COLD SHUTDOWN) during a midcycle outage when an eddy current inspection of both steam generators was completed.

The inspection resulted in the plugging of seventy (70) tubes in Steam Generator No.

1 and one hundred fifty-six (156) tubes in Steam Generator No. 2.

On December 18, 1993, Unit 3 was in Mode 5 (COLD SHUTDOWN) during a midcycle outage when an eddy current inspection of both steam generators was completed.

The inspection resulted in the plugging of sixteen (16) tubes in Steam Generator No.

1 and twenty (20) tubes in Steam Generator No. 2.
