SUBJECT:
CHANGES TO THE PALO VERDE NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION EMERGENCY PLAN We have received your August 9, 1994, letter which transmitted Revision 14 to the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station Emergency Plan.
The revision was submitted pursuant to 10 CFR 50.54(q) and incorporated the following changes:
(1)
EPA-400/10 CFR 20 changes, (2) offsite emergency response organization changes (engineering support),
(3) emergency action level changes (deleted reference to monitors that had been
- removed, revised readings for other RU
- monitors, added reference to dose projections, and deleted mode dependency for natural disasters/physical hazards to facility), (4) communication system changes (added descriptions of the Federal Telecommunications System telephones and the Emergency
Response
Data System),
and (5) administrative/editorial changes.
We have reviewed Revision 14 and determined that the changes are acceptable and do not appear to degrade the effectiveness of your emergency planning at the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station.
