Unit 3 Docket No. STN 50-530 Unit 3 Cycle 5 Core Operating Limits Report File: 94-005-419.05 94-056-026 Pursuant to PVNGS Unit 3 Technical Specification 6.9.1.10, enclosed is a copy of the Unit 3 Cycle 5 Core Operating Limits Report (COLR), Revision 0. Copies of this COLR are being provided to the NRC Region IVAdministrator, the Walnut Creek Field Office Director, and the Resident Inspector.

This Unit 3 Cycle 5 COLR willreplace the Unit 3 Cycle 4 COLR as required by Technical Specification 6.9.1.9. The differences between the Cycle 4 and the Cycle 5 COLRs are:

(1) the Axial Shape Index shown on page six has been revised from -0.27 < ASI < 0.27 to -0.28 < ASI < 0.26; (2) the lower line on the MTC curve shown on page ten has been revised to a more negative value; (3) the System 80 Inlet Flow Distribution supplement methodology has been added to reference number four on page seven; (4) in Mode 6,

> 4000 ppm and < 4000 ppm has been added; and (5) the cycle number has been changed to Cycle 5 on all pages.
