Units 1, 2, and 3 Docket Nos. STN 50-528/529/530 Cracked Exide Battery Seismic Test Results File: 92-056-026 The enclosed Wyle Laboratories Seismic Qualification Test Report is being provided as requested by Mr. C. M. Trammell of your staff.
Six Exide Type 2GN batteries (three 2GN-1 3 and three 2GN-23) with varying degrees of cracking were removed from PVNGS and were subjected to seismic testing. The testing demonstrated that the batteries'ere of sufficient structural integrity to withstand the prescribed seismic test levels.
