91-056-026 This letter documents Arizona Public Service Company's (APS') closure of NRC Bulletin 89-01, and Supplement 1 "Failure of Westinghouse Steam Generator Tube Mechanical Plugs,"
as requested by Mr. C.
M. Trammell, NRC Project Manager.
In the referenced letter, APS responded to the bulletin and committed to remove or repair the tube plugs of the affected hea't treat. numbers during the Unit 2, Cycle 3 refueling outage.
APS has removed the 95 Westinghouse Inconel 600 mechanical tube plugs that were identified in Table 1 of the referenced letter, and replaced them with Inconel 690 mechanical tube plugs during the Unit 2, Cycle 3 refueling outage.
