Addendum to Reply to Notice of Violation 50-529/90-45-01 File:
91-070-026 This letter is provided to update the corrective steps stated in the referenced letter.
APS has revised the Valve Motor Operator Monitoring and Test Program.(73PR-9ZZ04)'o add an appendix to identify the appropriate retest for Motor Operated Butterfly Valves (MOBVs).
(This appendix excludes
'OBVs that already have associated Local Leak Rate Tests.)
APS has reviewed the retest manual and has determined that sufficient guidance is contained within the procedure.
Specifically, Appendix A provides that motor operated valves be retested to verify position after rework or replacement of the motor operator.
Appendix C requires that 73PR-9ZZ04, Valve Motor Operator Monitoring and Test Program, be referenced for all retests involving MOVs.
Therefore, no further revision of the retest manual is required for this event.
