Transmittal of Operator License Certificates
Dear Mr. Firth:
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission considers licensed Reactor Operators and Senior Reactor Operators to be a vital factor in the protection of the health and safety of the public.
They are also, of course,'a vital-".factor in preventing damage to your facility; In recognition of the important role licensed operators fulfill in protecting
.the public, the Commission has directed that a certificate suitable for framing be issued to each such operator.
In response to this Commission direction, it is my pleasure to forward to you for presentation, a certificate for Edward T. Cesena.
It is noted that only one Reactor Operator or Senior Reactor Operator certificate will be issued to an individual. It is also noted that the certificate is a recognition of achievement, not a license.
Accordingly, present requirements relating to issuance and renewal of licenses remain unchanged, and the actual license o'r renewal authority will be issued as a
letter.
The Chairman, Dr. Murley and Mr; MIartin request that you offer their personal congratulations to Mr. Cesena.
