Areas examined during this inspection are described in the enclosed
inspection
report.
Within these
areas,
the inspection consisted of selective
examinations of procedures
and representative
records,
interviews with
personnel,
and observations
by the inspector.
'Based
on the results of this inspection, certain of your'ctivities appear to
be in violation of NRC requirements,
as, speci'fied in the enclosed
Notice of
Violation (Notice).
One violation of 10 CFR 20.102
was not cited because
the
criteria specified in 10 CFR 2, Appendix C, Section
V. A. of the Enforcement
Policy were satisfied.
The apparent violation of 10 CFR 20.103 as set forth
in the Notice seems to indicate
a weakness
exists in your air sampling
and
internal exposure
assessment
program.
You are re9uired to respond this letter and should follow the instructions
specified
1n the enclosed
Notice when preparinq your response.
In your
response,
you should documeht the'pecific act)ons
taken
and any additional
actions you plan to prevent recurrence.
After reviewing your response
to this
'Notice, including your proposed corrective actions
and the results of future
inspections,
the
NRC will determine whether further
NRC enforcement action is
necessary
to ensure
compliance with NRC regulatory requirements.
In accordance
with 10 CFR 2.790(a),
a copy of this letter and the enclosure
will be placed in the
NRC Public Document
Room.
The response
directed by this letter and the accompanying
Notice are not
subject to the clearance
procedures
of the Office of Management
and Budget as
required by the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1980,
PL 96-511.
