Ar izona Public Service Company (EA 90-147)
(Palo Verde, Units 1, 2, and 3)

PROPOSED IMPOSITION OF CIVIL PENALTY - $75,000 This is to inform the Commission that a Notice of Violation and Proposed Imposition of Civil Penalty in the amount of $75,000 will be issued on or about September 26, 1990 to Arizona Public Service Company.
This action is based on the licensee's failure to have an adequate program to ensure that all licensed operators are medically qualified as required by 10 CFR Part 55.
It should be noted that the licensee has not been specifically informed of the enforcement action.
The schedule of issuance and notification is:
Mailing of Notice September 26, 1990 Telephone Notification of Licensee September 26, 1990 The State of Arizona will be notified.
The licensee has thirty days from the date of the Notice in which to respond.
Following HRC evaluation of the response, the civil.penalty may be remitted, mitigated, or imposed by Order.
