Letter from J. B. Martin, NRC, to W. F. Conway, APS, dated June 28, 1989

Subject:

Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station Post Restart Items 89-019-417 In accordance with the requirement in the referenced letter, I have attached an updated list of Post Restart items. As you will note, where the "date due" field is blank, the item is complete.

The only changes which have been made to the list are updates in scheduled completion dates and/or changes in responsibilities for the completion of items with the following exceptions:

Record No. Descri tion 506 This item was inadvertently statused as complete however the teardown and inspection of the Unit 1 breaker has not been completed by the vendor. The root cause of failure on the failed trip coil has been completed.

509 This item was inadvertently statused as complete however testing as recommended by the EER has not been completed in Unit 3.

720 This item was inadvertently statused as comple:e based upon closure of the Engineering Action Request (EAR) however further review revealed that the vendor could not perform the specific calculation required. Based on this, Nuclear Engineering determined that an evaluation must be performed using the total Instrument Air (IA) flow calculation as a basis to determine effects of off-normal flowrates on air dryers.
