Implementation Schedule for the PVNGS Diverse Scram System 10 CFR 50.62 (ATWS Rule)
File: 89-056-026 As stated in Reference 1, Arizona Public Service (APS) is providing an updated status of the implementation schedule for the Diverse Scram System (DSS) modification, required to meet 10 CFR
At the present time, the completion of the design process is currently on schedule to support the implementation of the DSS modification during the upcoming outage.
The procurement
- schedule, for the modification, has not yet been finalized or confirmed by the vendor.
APS expects that the procurement
- process, once confirmed by the vendor, will support implementation of the DSS modification during the upcoming Unit 2 refueling outage.
The Unit 2
refueling outage is currently scheduled to commence during the first quarter of 1990.
Based on this information, APS plans to maintain the implementation schedule for the DSS modification for PVNGS as follows:
