The referenced letter discussed the proposed implementation of a Nonconformance Report (NCR) program and provided an expected completion date for implementation by August 1989.
This letter is being provided to update the current status of the program implementation.
During final review of the program by the Plant Review Board (PRB), the on-site review group, on July 28, 1989 it was directed that additional training be provided to APS personnel beyond that normally given for procedure/program revisions.
The basis for that direction was the significance of the scope change from the existing program.
The PRB approved the NCR procedure on July 28, 1989 pending a sixty (60) day training period.
The lead director's approval for the NCR program was obtained on August,1, 1989 with an implementation date of October 1, 1989.
