PALO VERDE NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION STEAM GENERATOR TUBE PLUGGING License No. NPF-51 Docket No. STN-529 Special Report 2-SR-88-005 This special report is required by Palo Verde Unit 2 Technical Specification 4.4.4.5 REPORTS a, within 15 days following the completion of each inservice inspection of steam generator tubes.

On May 9, 1988, Palo Verde Unit 2 was in Mode 6 (REFUELING), when an inservice inspection of both steam generators was completed. The inspection resulted in the plugging of 34 tubes in steam generator number 1 and 27 tubes in steam generator number 2 ~

The complete results of the steam generator tube inservice inspection will be submitted to the Commission in a Special Report within 12 months following completion of the inspection as required by Technical Specification section 4.4.4.5 REPORTS b.

l
