power.

Reference (2) contained confirmation of several License Conditions, and indicated the items associated with the Unit 3 PASS would be sent under a

future cover letter.

This letter is being transmitted to indicate all items in Reference (1) related to PASS are complete and PASS was operable prior to exceeding 5S power.

License Condition 2.,C;(5) states "APS shall complete the requirements of Supplement No.

-1 to NUREG-0737 in accordance, with 'the schedule specified in ANPP letter '40173'ated'ebruary 20, 1987,.'"

Attachment 2

of the February 20, 1987 letter listed the following Regulatory Guide 1.97 Instrumentation with corresponding completion, dates which are related to PASS:

VARIABLE SCHEDULE FOR COMPLETION Analysis of Primary Coolant Prior to 5% Power Primary Coolant and Sump Samples Prior to 5% Power Containment Air.Sample Prior to 5%, Power In accordance with License Condition. 2.C.(5),

ANPP confirms completion and operability of the above listed items associated with NUREG-0737 Supplement 1 prior to exceeding 5% power in accordance with Reference (1).

Item 3 requires "the post accident sampling system shall.be operable prior to exceeding 5%

power."'n accordance with the above item, ANPP states the Unit 3 PASS system was operable prior to exceeding 5S power in accordance with Reference (1).
