PVNGS Unit 1 has opted to utilize sample plan 2 of Technical Specification Surveil-lance Requirement 4.7.9.e for functional testing of snubbers during the Unit 1

Refueling Outage scheduled to begin September 12, 1987.

This notification is being made pursuant to Technical Specification 4.7.9, which requires that the 'NRC Regional Administrator be notified in writing of the sample plan selected prior to the test period.

The test period is currently scheduled to begin September 20, 1987.
