As required by Item 1.b of Attachment 1 to the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Unit 3 Operating
- License, NPF-65, I am hereby certifying that Item l.a of Attachment 1 to the License has been completed for entering Mode 5
on Unit 3.
The operability of all systems required for Mode 5 entry has been demonstrated by successfully meeting the acceptance criteria in the PVNGS Technical Speci-fications.
This has been accomplished by the completion of.the applicable surveillance tests or by preoperational testing which verifies meeting the requirements of the Technical Specifications which were performed within the required surveillance interval.
