Mr. G.

W. Knighton Confirmation of Completion of Modifications to the Chemical and Volume Control System ANPP-35963 Page 2

This modification to the PVNGS Unit 2

Chemical and Volume Control System (CVCS) has been completed in accordance with the commitments made in the referenced letters.

ANPP will provide the NRC Staff with confirmation of completion of the remaining CVCS modifications as they are completed.

Additionally, in Reference (5),

ANPP committed to perform an external surface examination of the PVNGS Unit 2 charging pumps for the purpose of collecting baseline data.

ANPP has completed a non-destructive examination (NDE) of the PVNGS Unit 2

charging pumps in accordance with the referenced commitment.

This NDE consisted of a liquid penetrant examination of the external surfaces of the charging pumps.

This examination did not show any existing thru-wall cracks in the charging pump blocks.
