Dear Sir:
1 As required by Attachment 2 of Reference (1),
ANPP is hereby notifying the NRC of our intent to replace one of the current PVNGS Unit 1 shift advisors from San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station (SONGS) with one of our recently licensed Senior Reactor Operators.
Mr. Gene Eimar, who was identified as a potential shift advisor in Reference (2), has been determined to be competent to provide advice to the operating shifts on PVNGS Unit 1.
He will commence his duties as shift advisor on June 10, 1985 and will replace Mr. Jose Garza who has been recalled to SONGS.
Mr. Eimar meets the shift advisor experience requirements of Reference (3) based upon his fourteen months as a licensed SRO (Shift Foreman) at the Zion Plant which is a Westinghouse PWR.
He also exceed the PVNGS requirements for the Shift Advisor Program based upon his PVNGS Unit 2 SRO License.
He has also completed a training session with upper Operations Management which focused on the PVNGS Operating Department Guideline (ODG-37) "Responsibilities and Duties of the Shift Advisor".
