SUMMARY
OF MEETING TO DISCUSS SECONDARY WATER CHEMISTRY PROGRAM A meeting was held on April 3, 1985 in Bethesda, Maryland with representatives of the applicant.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss changes to the secondary water chemistry program for Palo Verde.
The meeting attendees are listed on Enclosure I and the meeting is summarized as follows:
~Summa r The applicant's program for secondary water chemistry is described in the CESSAR FSAR.
After issuance of the FDA for CESSAR, an amendment to the FSAR was filed which included changes to the secondary water chemistry program.
At the meeting, the applicant stated that the revised secondary water chemistry program is consistent with the program described in Revision 0 of EPRI Special
- Report, "PWR Secondary Water Chemistry Guidelines", with some differences.
Where the program differs from guidelines, the applicant provided information (Enclosure
- 2) to show that the changes are in a conservative direction.
The staff concluded that the information discussed at the meeting provides an acceptable justification for the changes.
The applicant agreed to submit the information on the Palo Verde docket.
