I are the holders of Facility Operating License No. NPF-34, dated Decemher 31,

1984, which authorizes operation of the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station, Unit I at 3800 meqawatts thermal.
However, pending Commission apnrova], operation is restricted to five percent of rated power (190 megawatts therma)).

One of the utilities included as a co-owner on the license is the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power.

The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) was identified as co-owner for the facility in Amendment No.

5 to the Palo Verde Final Safety Ola I

Amendment No.

5 to the FSAR states that LADWP will acquire an "...undivided ownership interest as a tenant in common with the other Participants in the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station, including each of Palo Verde Units I, 2 and 3, at such time as Palo Verde Unit 1

is placed into commerical operation..."

Because LADWP is not offically a co-owner at this time Facility Operatinq License No.

NPF-34 is amended to include the following fnntqote on page I of the license:

> "Los Angeles Department of Water and Power will be inc]uded as an owner in this license pn the date it officially acquires an owqgrship interest in the facility phich is expected to occur shortly after Palo Verde Unit I achieves commprical operation."
