SUBJECT:
SUMMARY
OF MEETING ON PALO VERDE ENVIRONMENTAL QUALIFICATION PROGRAM A meeting was,held on October 9 and 10, 1984 between the applicant and the staff at the applicant's office in Phoenix, Arizona.
The purpose of the meeting was to address the remaining issues on the environmental qualification program.
Attendees for the meeting are shown in Enclosure 1.
The meeting is summarized as follows.
~gummar By letter dated September 10, 1984, the applicant had provided updated status
, sheets on environmental qualification of Palo Verde equipment.
At the meeting, the staff identified a number of sheets for which additional information was required to clarify the status.
The applicant agreed to revise. the sheets accordingly and resubmit them to the staff.
The staff was still evaluating the justification for interim operation submitted by the applicant for the three items of equipment whose qualification would be completed after the projected fuel load date.
By letter dated September 19, 1984 the applicant provided responses to staff questions relating to the environmental qualification program.
At the
- meeting, the staff indicated where additional information was required in the responses to questions 1, 5A, 5B, 6 and 7 to provide a more complete response.
The applicant agreed to revise the responses accordingly and resubmit them to the staff.
During the meeting, the staff stated that additional information was also required on (1) the status of qualification of TMI Items and (2) the 8412ipp>
