Reference (1) summarizes a meeting held on March 2, 1984 between the
The purpose of this meeting was for the NRC to perform an audit on the software implementation for the PVNGS Core Protection Calculator (CPC).
As a result of the audit, the staff suggested that (1) Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station Manual, Procedure No. 720P-9SB01, Revision 0, "CPC Addressable Constants",
be modified to include a provision to ensure. that actions be taken for implementation of the CE transmittal of the addressable constants, or (2) the acknowledgement of receipt be changed to an acknowledgement of implementation.
In response to the above suggestions made by the staff, APS will add a state-ment to the PVNGS Station Manual Procedure, "Control of Reactor Engineering and Operations Emgineering Computer Software" (72AC-.OZZ03, Rev. 0) requiring implementation of all the CPC software changes and addressable constants transmitted by CE, and return of the proper acknowledgement sheet to CE for such changes.

0 is a new procedure which incorpo-rates the portions of 720P-9SB01 of which the NRC suggested the above changes be made.
