Letter: DOE-ID EM-NRC-17-032 Submittal of Requested References to the NRC in Support of the TMl-2 License Renewal Application, dated August 9, 2017 On March 6, 2017 pursuant to 10 CFR 72.42(a), the United States Department of Energy, Idaho Operations Office (DOE-ID) submitted the License Renewal Application (LRA) for the Three Mile Island Unit 2 (TMl-2) Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation (ISFSI), License No.
SNM-2504 to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) for review. The LRA was accepted for review by the NRC on May 5, 2017. Since acceptance, the NRC staff reviewers have identified documents referenced in the LRA that are needed to complete the technical review of the application.
The NRC staff initially identified to DOE and requested reference documents from DOE on July 11, 2017, July 26, 2017, and August 4, 2017. In response to the initial NRC staff requests, DOE provided the requested references in letter EM-NRC-17-032 (Reference 2).
Document Control Desk EM-NRC-17-039 Ou October 11, 2017, the NRC staff requested one additional reference to support the technical review of the TMI-2 License Renewal Application. This letter transmits that additional reference as enclosure 1. To expedite the NRC receipt and review of the reference information, this letter and reference have been electronically submitted to the Project Manager, Kristina Banovac, and submitted hard copy with a compact disc containing the listed references to the NRC Document Control Desk. There is no proprietary information included with this submittal.
