Section 6.2.4 (pg. '6-15) of the referenced Safety Evaluation Report discusses the following confirmatory issue:
"The staff therefore, finds that the con-tainment isolation provisions for the specific lines discussed above are ac-ceptable alternatives to the explicit requirements of GDC55 contingent upon Class IE emergency power being provided to valves CH-HV255 and CH-HV524."
The PVNGS design has been modified to supply Class IE emergency power to valves CH-HV255 and CH-HV524.
The PVNGS drawings revised to show the modification were as follows:
- 13-M-CHP-001, Revision 6
- 13-E-hQA-002, Revision 6
The PVNGS FSAR figures 9.13-13 and 8.3-2 Hill be updated in a future amendment to reflect this modification.
Construction for this modification was scheduled for completion in Dec'ember, 1982.
The modification of Class IE power supply to the two valves in question resolves the confirmatory item quoted from the Safety Evaluation Report.
